Community Centric
Economics and Culture
The Oddie District is an urban infill redevelopment project on Oddie Boulevard in Metro Reno / Sparks, Nevada. The project is the deconstruction of a former Lowe’s and re-construction of a 155,000 sf innovation hub featuring a 300+ seat food and beverage Biergarten. And, soon to be unveiled, a plan for 200 workforce housing rental apartments to be added to the surplus parking areas of the project site.

It’s located 10 minutes from the Reno-Tahoe International airport and 7 minutes from the University of Nevada, Reno. This project is a catalyst for a community centric economic and cultural resurgence. It is anchored in cultural relevance by The Generator, a makerspace community including celebrated Burning Man artists and engineers; and by The Innovation Collective, a collaborative workplace business accelerator engaged in human capital investment.
The property is centered in one of the last areas in metro Reno/Sparks to gentrify. The Oddie District is a Community Stewardship project of a scale that its critical mass is sufficient to carry itself. Combined with $34 million of now underway RTC Washoe County street and streetscape improvements, the City of Sparks has publicly recognized the economic infusion The Oddie District is creating, and our re-imagining of the Oddie Boulevard business district.
